Alex Askew is a published singer, guitarist, songwriter and live performer based in Kent, playing pubs, clubs, hotels and events across Kent, London and the South East.

A two-time national music competition semi-finalist (two years running), Alex has spent years honing his craft on stage, in the studio and in front of the camera — including TV and radio media campaigns. It's that mix of experience that makes his live shows consistent, professional and genuinely crowd-aware.

As a solo live act, Alex offers two distinct formats:

Solo Acoustic — guitar and vocals, stripped back and intimate. Warm, personal and easy to talk over, it's perfect for relaxed settings, dining areas, Sunday sessions and smaller stages.

Backing-Track Show — a bigger, higher-energy "one-man band" set with vocals over full backing tracks. Built for busy Friday and Saturday nights, club sessions and events where the place needs to lift.

Both formats are fully self-contained — Alex brings his own PA system, microphone, amps, guitars and backing tracks. One person, one reliable setup: quick load-in, no sound engineer required, no disruption to your venue.

His repertoire spans folk, pop, rock, punk, indie and classic anthems from the 60s through to today, so he can tailor every set to the room, the crowd and the occasion.

Alongside his solo work, Alex fronts multiple projects including Knights of Nevada, with original releases and merchandise available online. Whether you need background atmosphere or a floor-filling party set, he'll fit your venue — and keep them coming back.
